I think that his imputation of i...Very interesting. I think that his imputation of intent when there appears to be an economic benefit to the powerful is a common error, unfortunately. Something we should always point out to our students -- just because someone benefits from a particular state of affairs does not mean that they set it up that way. But conspiracy theory is so much simpler and more attractive than the more complex readings and explanations.
